BARBARESCO D.O.C.G.
Cru Castellizzano

The Castellizzano vineyard is located at the top of the village of Treiso.
It produces a big, rich wine with plenty of personality.

The Nebbiolo grapes are harvested when they have ripened to perfection,
and are immediately sent to be crushed.

The fermentation at a controlled temperature
lasts between 12 and 15 days, depending on the vintage.
After being drawn off, the wine undergoes its malolactic fermentation,
and is then stored in stainless steel.

When it is clear, it goes into new barrels made of French oak
and more traditional medium-sized casks for more than a year,
before being bottled to complete its maturation.

TASTING NOTES
Intense garnet red color, with nice ruby nuances.
Strong very expansive, lingering nose of ripe fruit, berries and sweet spices.
Round and balanced on the mouth, with a warm, dry flavor.
An elegant wine of great structure and considerable complexity
