BARBARESCO D.O.C.G.
Cru Marcarini
Celebrated, thoroughbred dry red wine, made by vinifying Nebbiolo grapes
grown on the old Marcarini vineyard.
The alcoholic fermentation, lasting 12 days at a controlled temperature of around 27-29°C,
is immediately followed by the malolactic fermentation.
The wine matures in stainless steel for six months,
before aging for a period of 12 months, partly in French oak tonneaux,
and partly in traditional casks made of Slavonian oak.
It's refinement then continues in the bottle until its release.
TASTING NOTES
Intense garnet red color.
Long, expansive nose conjuring up sweet spices and nuts.
Well-structured, mouth-filling wine,
with noble, sweet tannins contributing to it's great balance and elegance.
