Cantina Pertinace from Treiso donates 2,000 bottles of Dolcetto d’Alba DOC as a gift to all the medical staff of the ASL CN 2 – Alba Bra
“Thank you for all that you have done for us during these trying times”

“It seemed something dutiful: it is a token of gratitude and appreciation, a small act to honour the enormous work, both physical and emotional, that the medical personnel of the ASL CN2 Alba – Bra has endured in order to take care of the sick during this difficult time”. These were the words of Cesare Barbero, director of Cantina Pertinace, explaining the reasons behind the decision to donate 2,000 bottles of Dolcetto d’Alba DOC 2018 to doctors, nurses and physiotherapists who work at the hospitals of Alba and Verduno. “In collaboration with the Fondazione Nuovo Ospedale Alba – Bra we have determined when and how the bottles will be handed over; it will be during a ceremony set for Friday 29 May 2020”.
Cesare Barbero adds: “The selected bottle, a symbol of Piedmont’s daily wine reality, something familiar and close to the heart, is encased in a special package made by Ondalba spa from Baldissero d’Alba, bearing a clear message written in capital letters: Ancora più uniti, per difendere la salute di tutti (“We are even more united, in defending everyone’s well-being”). Our winery, a cooperative counting 17 members founded in 1973, shares the same values of cooperation and responsibility, which is why we felt that it would be appropriate to send a message of gratitude, strength and unity. What our medical staff has done for us has an immeasurable value, both in professional and human terms, and we have wanted to express our heartfelt gratitude through something that we do best: wine”
